Tested quality for more safety
New tire technology promises improvements in practical use, with benefits for farmers and society. Soil conservation, fuel savings and wear behavior are active resource protection, while user-friendliness criteria such as self-cleaning or comfort properties are also relevant in practice.
The DLG tests agricultural tires in a direct comparison of different sets of tires, whereby various properties can be tested depending on customer requirements.
The test is essentially carried out in two partial tests, one of which is a practical test in the field and the second is carried out under reproducible conditions on the DLG chassis dynamometer.
After a successful test, customers receive a detailed test report and a DLG-approved test seal.
During the field tests, various parameters are recorded under documented conditions.
In detail, these are
- Tractive force-slip curve,
- ground pressure,
- track depth,
- tire contact patch and
- fuel consumption.
- Optionally, tire self-cleaning can also be measured.
In the laboratory, the high-precision measurement of fuel and AdBlue consumption is carried out under reproducible conditions on the DLG chassis dynamometer.
