Type-approval of mechanical coupling devices

As designated technical service for the type-approval testing of vehicles and vehicle components, we test mechanical coupling devices according to the requirements of:

• UN ECE regulations
• EU regulations
• German Regulations (StVZO)

In doing so, we support you throughout the entire type-approval process.

In addition to the tests in the type-approval process, we offer you:

• Support in the manufacturer’s initial assessment required for the type-approval process
• Testing of your series production parts as verification of conformity of production (CoP)
• Training courses and seminars, also in the form of in-house training on request
• Durability testing, including according to VdTÜV leaflet No. 751

Type-approvals for mechanical coupling devices are performed by our partner Brunel Car Synergies within the DLG TestService GmbH expert homologation network. Boasting around 100 test benches, the test laboratory is accredited in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 and is included as a site in DLG’s designation as a technical service for the type-approval testing of mechanical coupling devices by Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA-P 00020-19).
