DLG’s Test Center Technology and Farm Inputs, part of the DLG TestService, evaluates tractor tires both under realistic conditions and under reproducible laboratory conditions to ensure comprehensive performance assessment. The aim is to provide reliable and comparable results that enable manufacturers and agricultural businesses to make an informed assessment.
After successfully passing the DLG tests, the DLG-APPROVED test mark is awarded. This is supported by a transparent test report with comprehensive technical documentation.
New test framework 2026
The current test framework was developed in collaboration with the Technical Committee Vehicle Technology and tailored to practical requirements based on a user survey. It forms the basis for a transparent, comparable, and internationally compatible evaluation of agricultural tires.
Test procedure
- Module selection:
- Practical test in the field: Measurement of traction, slip, ground pressure, and fuel consumption under realistic operating conditions
- Laboratory test on the DLG chassis dynanometer test bench: Consumption measurement under precisely reproducible conditions
- Evaluation: Compilation of all measured values and assessments in a detailed test report
- Publication of results: Once the test is successfully passed, publication of the results and award of the test seal as transparent proof of quality, efficiency, and practical suitability Criteria
