Tire testing for tractors, trailers and attachments

New tire technologies offer clear advantages: They help preserve soil, reduce fuel consumption, and minimize wear, thereby conserving valuable resources.

Self-cleaning properties and driving comfort also play a practical role.

DLG compares agricultural tires based on customer-specific requirements and tests targeted performance characteristics.
After successful testing, you receive a detailed test report along with the DLG APPROVED quality seal.

Field and laboratory testing

The testing process is divided into two main components: a practical field test and a controlled laboratory test on the DLG chassis dynamometer.

During the field tests, various parameters are recorded under documented conditions.

On the chassis dynamometer, fuel and AdBlue consumption are measured under reproducible conditions.

Key evaluation criteria include:

  • Traction (slip and drawbar pull)
  • Soil protection (ground pressure, soil compaction)
  • Fuel savings
  • Rolling resistance
