DLG-PowerMix: Power, efficiency, fuel consumption of tractors

Based on typical workloads of a tractor in practice, the DLG test committee has defined 14 load cycles under which the fuel and AdBlue consumption, the performance and ultimately the energy efficiency of the overall vehicle are determined. The load cycles reflect typical field and transport work in both the partial and the full-load range. Pure pulling work, e.g. with a plough or cultivator, as well as mixed work that loads the PTO and the hydraulic system in addition to the travel drive are tested. This is the case, for example, during field work with a power harrow, mower, manure spreader or baler. Heavy and light transport work is also simulated in order to test efficiency on the road, enabling an overall assessment of the energy efficiency of tractors in practical use under reproducible conditions.

Here you'll find tractor test reports (DLG PowerMix data sheets) according to the load and performance requirements of your own farm.

Operating instructions

  • To do this, use the sliders to specify the percentage of the different workloads, such as heavy and medium towing work, heavy, medium and light PTO work, hydraulic work and heavy and light transport work, and limit the power range of the tractor below. You can also set targets for diesel and AdBlue costs.
  • Explanations of the applications become visible after clicking on the underlined blue terms.
  • After clicking on "Search", the results are displayed sorted by costs per kilowatt hour.
  • In the mobile view, the operating menu is folded out by tapping on the magnifying glass symbol.
  • In the DLG PowerMix app, you can switch between German and English in the top right-hand corner.
