MAN drawbar power test truck  

In parallel with its chassis dynamometer, DLG also operates a drawbar power test truck for measuring performance and consumption. This test truck can not only be used to measure the tractive power and fuel consumption of tractors in accordance with OECD Tractor Code 2; DLG also uses this test tool to support manufacturers in various analyses and validation tests during development.

The tests are conducted on the measuring track at the DLG Test Center in Groß-Umstadt. In these tests, the tractors are loaded using the drawbar power test truck at various speeds depending on the simulation of the work to be performed (ploughing, cultivating, mowing, etc.). Measurement runs can also be carried out on site at manufacturers.
